COVID-19 Update - Art Explorium

*Important Studio Update*

We continue to closely follow the COVID-19 situation in our community. The safety of our families, employees, volunteers and community is of the utmost importance to us. For the health of our community and in an effort to do our part to help “? we have made the difficult decision to cancel all public Art Explorium programs beginning Sunday, March 15 until further notice. These programs include Open Studio, Workshops, Field Trips and Birthday pARTies.

Please follow us on our and pages for further updates about our programs along with helpful art resources for keiki, stories that inspire creativity, project ideas your keiki can do at home, and more!

Be safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon when things have settled down, hopefully soon!

Just For Kids: A Comic Exploring the Coronavirus

NPR recently came out with a wonderful comic designed to teach keiki more about the new Coronavirus. It includes helpful information on what the virus is, who it affects, how to prevent it, and more. You can even download a foldable zine version at this link.

Keep Being Creative!

It looks like many of us will be home more than usual over the coming weeks. We encourage you all to do art projects and to continue to encourage creativity with your ohana. At Art Explorium we have developed numerous art lesson plans which are posted on our web site. These lesson plans are organized by year developed and grade level so be sure to check out all of them! The great thing is that they use common items you probably already have around your house and you won’t have to purchase lots of art supplies.

Feel free to email us photos of your keiki doing art projects at home and we will happily share them on our social media. Just send your photo to [email protected] and we will share with the hashtag #coronacreativity.
