COVID-19 Update - Art Explorium

*Important Studio Update*

Like so many of you, we have been closely following the COVID-19 situation and trying to learn as much as possible. The safety of our families, employees, volunteers and community is of the utmost importance to us. For the health of our community and in an effort to do our part to help “flatten the curve” we have made the difficult decision to cancel all public Art Explorium programs beginning Sunday, March 15 and at least through April 30. These programs include Open Studio and Workshops.
We will keep you updated as more information becomes available. Please feel free to follow us on Instagram and our Facebook page for further updates about our programs.
You can also find helpful updates on COVID-19 at the Centers for Disease Control web site.

Please be safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon when things have settled down, hopefully soon!

Just For Kids: A Comic Exploring the New Coronavirus

NPR recently came out with a wonderful comic designed to teach keiki more about the new Coronavirus. It includes helpful information on what the virus is, who it affects, how to prevent it, and more. Take a look. You can even download a foldable zine version at this link.

Keep Being Creative Over the Break!

It looks like many of us will be home more than usual over the coming weeks. We encourage you all to do art projects and to continue to encourage creativity with your ohana. At Art Explorium we have developed numerous art lesson plans which are posted on our web site. These lesson plans are organized by year developed and grade level so be sure to check out all of them! The great thing is that they use common items you probably already have around your house and you won’t have to purchase lots of art supplies.

Feel free to email us photos of your keiki doing art projects at home and we will happily share them on our social media. Just send your photo to and we will share with the hashtag #coronacreativity.
